La Laque La Laque are based in New York but their bewitching singer Devery sings in French on this perfect little demo. "La Sirene Dort" is utterly enchanting, a modern chanson propelled by Devery's sweet vocals. "Le week-end" sees La Laque make a cool, Stereolab-ish song with a melancholy undertone that's hard to resist. "Desolée" live sup tot its title, with unexpectedly muscular riffs playing against the melody. La Laque are about to release a proper EP, until then these songs are available at their site.
