The Nyquist Frequency
Elephant Art
Ubique Records

Keith Nyquist has formed this group to make music with his friends and their debut is pretty sharp. "Mirrorland" is lovely, a floaty Flaming Lips-like pop gem. "Sound" is pretty and not without a few Beatles tricks up its sleeve. Nyquist's voice is evocative here. "The Oslo Files" gives us some serious Rickenbacker action and very nice harmonies. "Parsifal Sunday Nights" is reflective and has impeccable pop credentials. The lead vocal is just gorgeous.

Elephant Art lives up to today's pop standards while having plenty of the best tunes from the past. The group seems set for a bright future.
