Leah Callahan has a history both as a solo artist and a member in bands. Her new band play jagged but melodic new wave. "Telescope" rests on pop hooks and a lovely vocal. "24" is sweet and brings out Callahan's vocal prowess as it plunges towards the chorus. The title song uses a classic New York sound, tough guitars and a dreamy mood. It sounds very Sonic Youth in their more melodic moments. "I am a Camera" closes the album with a nice, frantic spurt. The Glass Set have made a great debut that many should love.
