Blues Divine
That's What It Takes
self-released

Blues Divine do live up to the name as singer Philip Francini sings soulfully on "Back to New Orleans". The backing vocalists add to the celebratory vibe. "Ride On Me (Pony Blues)" features Albert Lee on guitar and is a catchy and slightly saucy number. "Raining Again" is a ballad that recalls a less weary Eric Clapton.

"You can't fight yourself and win" is quintessential blues, Francini's delivery and guitar playing excellent. Blues Divine don't do anything radical and new but their heart is in the right place. They must be great live too.
