Paganus
Skogsrock
Earth n Wood Records

Paganus play a music inspired by Mother Earth and call their debut "forest rock". Vivacious and tough folk rock ensues.

Singer Johannes Söderquist becomes a Pan-like figure on opener "Dansa Dansa Dansa" (Dance, dance, dance), leading the band in a frenzied celebration of life. "Memento Mori" is hard-edged enough to recall Pearl Jam and its grim message resonates. "Gångsång" preaches enjoying things in moderation and chugs along nicely. The fiddle adds to the sound. Folk and rock continue to meet with stirring results. Paganus offer a delightful change of pace from the usual city-fixated hipsters.
