Singer and pianist Kate Reid does a nice rendition of the American songbook on her new cd.
"I Thought About You" has her scatting long nicely as she gets to the heart of the song. "Lush Life" gets a quite yet supple reading, putting the focus on
Reid's husky vocals. "I Can't Believe You're In Love With Me" is sweet and nicely rendered, Reid's vocal playfully expressing the words. "In A Sentimental
Mood" is wonderfully rendered, as Reid lets her vocal dominate. She's a real talent, and this album is very cool.
