Ground Sound
Pay Attention
Sotos Music Group

Ground Sound has something of the Red Hot Chili Peppers approach on this record. They combine a funky feel with a rock attitude and pen some sharp songs.

"Fix Me" looks at commercialized culture and finds it wanting. The lead guitar part by Ray Soto is strong and appealing. "Zombie" is relatively laid back but its words as ever sting and the playing is superb. The band members really have an excellent bond with each other. "If You Ever" is a mid tempo tune about troubled relationships that cuts to the bone. The bands dexterity pays off well as ever. "Blinds Closed" is slower and allows the band to show a subtlety that suits them well. All in all it's a credible album that should win them some fans.
