Rökkurró
Í annan heim
12 Tonar

Rökkurró are from Iceland and make quietly pastoral music in the Sigur Rós meets múm vein. Their angelic singer has a voice all her own though, on the opening title song she trills innocently against a calm backdrop. "Skyggamyndir" is as dreamy as the other songs, and has an ethereal mood that works for it. Rökkurró are excellent at creating mood and maintaining them throughout the album.

"August opnast" continues the trend of making heart-rendingly lovely music with quiet assurance. The vocals are as lovely as ever, and the band provides a gorgeous backdrop. It's a wonderful, sweet album.
