Maria Rylander makes jazzy music with an interesting sound. Opener "Walking down the avenue" is dreamy and exact, Rylander's vocal set against a sophisticated backing. "I Left My Town" is a sensitive reflection of loss set to a delicate backing. Rylander's lovely voice really makes it convincing.

The title song sees her at her finest, a pensive lyric set to a sweet-natured tune. It's jazz and pop in a passionate embrace. "Longing" is a piano-led song with a sprightly tempo to suit the hopeful lyrics. Rylander and her band are more than up for the task. It's a strong and assured record.
