The Shining Skulls
Destroy Your Self
Self-released

The Shining Skulls play a complex, progressive fueled music that's very pleasant to hear. Opener "Provided by the Management (For Your Protection)" has sarcastic lyrics that well support the complex arrangement. The musicians are at the top of their game.

"Carnivore" is a haunting song that builds towards an unforgettable chorus. The vocals are gorgeously evoked. "Such a Bloody Girl" is a wonderfully played song with the lead singer singing at the height of his ability. The tempo goes back and forth and provides a satisfying sound. "Pipeline" closes the album on a good note, a dreamy of song with plenty of atmosphere. It's yet more proof to the bands' ability. They've since gone on hiatus, but I hope they'll return someday.
