Victoria Faiella
Wild Butterfly
Incandescent Records

Victoria Faiella has an intriguingly multi-faceted sound on this album. The title song sees her in a sensitive soft, mood that recalls the best of Sarah McLachlan.

"The Damage" is a dramatic song that puts the emphasis on Faiella's utterly spellbinding vocals. She has a unique style that's evident here. There's an astonishing cover of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" with an appealing Middle Eastern slant that she really makes work. Faiella's vocals are at home here.

"Goodnight my hero" is a sweet, string-laden song that she handles with her usual aplomb. It's a beautiful moment. She's a strong singer and this is a fine album.
