Jaakko Eino Kalevi
Dreamzone EP
Weird World

Finland's Jaakko Eino Kalevi has a unique style on this brief EP. "Memories" has echoes of Bowie's Berlin-era, complete with whirring synths and a vocal that's guarded yet gorgeous. "No End" is a dreamy-voiced song with Kalevi somehow invoking the New Romantic era of the early Eighties. It's not a million miles from Visage's sound.

"When You Walk Through Them All" is a song that's got a strong backbeat and a yearning vocal. It's intimately familiar and alien at once. It's a fabulous ep by a great talent.
