Lynn Jolicoeur and her band perform originals and standards with equal verve on this album. "East of the Sun" gets a lovely reading with Jolicoeur singing in a relaxed yet cool manner and her band backing her well. The original song "Behind your Eyes" was written by pianist Steven Travis and is a becalmed song with a thoughtful lyric. Corinne Bailey Ray's "Like a Star" gets a unique reading, Jolicoeur singing in a gorgeous voice to Latin-derived backing. It's another proof of their versatility.

"Tucked away" is a song co written by Travis and the singer, and it's a soft ballad played with a light touch and a lovely lead vocal. It's just as good as anything else here. It's a fine album all told.
