Neil Campbell
eMErgence
Neil Campbell / self-released

Guitarist and composer Neil Campbell makes a very progressive album, making his own path nicely. "Morphogenetic Fields" sees him play a fusion jazz prog hybrid with gusto. "MC 2" is a rhythmic creation, done by keyboards and Campbell's strong sense of adventure. It's kind of like a darker Mike Oldfield doing a horror soundtrack. "Teilhard de Chardin" is a dreamy whisper of a song, which floats by gently. Campbell and his band are on peak form here.

"Fields Within Fields" is a lovely song, Campbell and band doing a creative, jazzy workout and having a good time. It's a subtle and well-delivered album, proving Campbell's gift again.
