Gardens & Villa
Music for Dogs
Secretly Canadian

Gardens & Villa start their new album with a soft intro and then the song "Maximize Results" which features piano and a hesitant vocal. "Fixations" sees the band that includes songwriters Chris Lynch and Adam Rasmussen playing a song about darkness and such matters set to a bouncy Talking Heads-like tune. The lead vocal is well done and the backing superb.

"Paradise" is a soft and idyllic-sounding song with a sharp tune. "I Already Do" closes the album on a good note, the band playing a lushly orchestrated song that recalls XTC. It's a fine album.
