B.G.K.
A Dutch Feast... The Complete Works Of Balthasar Gerards Kommando
Alternative Tentacles

The subtitle already mentions that this double LP contains all the stuff B.G.K. put out between 1982-1988: Jonestown Aloha, White Male Dumbinance, Als je haar maar goed zit and Nothing Can Go Wrong. The proof that B.G.K. is a band from the 80s can be taken from songs like: Regering (Krijg de Tering) and Holiday in Lebanon, whose lyrics pretty much tells us about things that happened then. Yet this doesn't mean that the record could be referred to as outdated. On the contrary, songs like Race Riot, Buy or Die, Arms Race and White Male Dumbinance are about things that still are alive and kicking in the world today, which is nothing to be proud of.

You've got to be slightly interested in politics, otherwise B.G.K. won't be your thing. Two LPs of power, politics, sincerity and speed (on this record they're still faster than 10 American hardcore bands operating nowadays). Only thing I am missing is the beer.
