Speed of life, part 2

Silverman are duo consisting of Martin Willimans and Anna Dennis. Their debut is a stunning album. It opens with what sounds like an instant classic. "Ctrl Alt Del" is a duet between Williams and Dennis. It's every bit as sad as it's beatiful, a perfect song of lost love. Elsewhere Anna Dennis handles the vocals alone. The music is nver uptempo, but has enough allure for this not to matter.

"Can I Have my Heart Back Please?" is an obvious highlight. Dennis' voice is at its most expressive while the eclectronic background cracks and hisses with tension. "Nothing I do, Nothing I say" is resigned but not defeated. It ends the album on a grand note.

Silverman have crafted an impeccable album of gorgeously dark songs.
