Electric Butterfly
Electric Butterfly
Tiger Records

Sally Doherty has had a long and varied career and this is her first release as Electric Butterfly with Colin Elliot. This record is so far only available through Itunes.

Opener "Something More" is superior electric pop with real beauty and soul. "Autumn" is a soft song that puts the emphasis on Doherty's love and temperate voice. "Frost" is a delicate song, the vocal set against a light beat. Electric Butterfly might seem like an ordinary trip hop group but their music has a richer palette and subtly draws in folk and pop influences. Doherty's work is always worth a look and this record is no exception.
