Kimmie Rhodes
Walls Fall Down

Kimmie Rhodes has long since established herself as a seasoned country veteran. Her latest effort is warm and inviting and has an impeccable song selection.

We get a stirring rendition of Townes van Zandt's "If I Needed You" that's lifted by Rhodes yearning vocals. Rodney Crowel's "Sex and Gasoline" gets a treatment that really highlights the satirical words. "I've Been Loved By You" has a strong sense of enduring love and is quite moving. Rhodes voice is prefect for this kind of song.

She easily inhabits Beatles' "The Fool On The Hill" and makes the album a real treasure. It's one of her best efforts so far.
