Brans
Brands
So Much Soul Records

Brans is mainly songwriter/composer Alex Brans' project, even though it's a band project, touring and everything. Their soundscapes roam the terrains of some sort of hybrid of electronica, trip-hop and more, with some jazzy flings and swings thrown in. And the result's not bad at all.

Canadian Brans have come up with a cool and chilling album for lazy dancing. Enough catchy and rhythm-filled songs for legs and mind. Even though I find some of the tracks slightly irritating/annoying/boring. And, as I often can be quoted on: the album's too long. A near 1 hour (15 tracks) musical ride is often a too long ride.

But, by all means, Brands is a comfy listen. Moody and atmospheric, like f.i. Massive Attack has been.
