Amida
The Spite House Plot
Fika Recordings

Amida return with a gorgeous though short EP. The noisy yet melodic "Mid week debauchery" opens the EP on a cool note. The tune might have belonged to Jesus and the Mary Chain in another life. "A Month of Sundays" is a spiky Pixies concoction with Fall-esque intent. "Box Office Poison" is a suitably nonchalant pop song with some evocative vocals and a great guitar line. The closing "Victor Spoils" is a good note to end this EP on. The group is welcome to make a longer work someday soon.
