Sal
Dysfunctional
self-released

Sal is an energtic rock band from South Wales with a stunning lead vocalist in Cat and a great guitarist called Noog. Their debut offers plenty of melodic hooks and hummable tunes.

The hard riffs of "Perfect" offers plenty of resistance to Cat's strong lead vocal. "I'm so much better than that bitch you're with" she sings and who are we to disagree with her. "Desperate and Dateless" is hard-hitting and ironic. The rhythm section keeps a steady and powerful pace throughout.

"Tomorrow I'll be gone" is a sweet ballad that manages to be very moving and shows off Cat's full range. "The Loser" is a frenetic track that displays the band at their fiercest. This is a strong debut.
